Booking An Appointment
Walk ins are welcome depending on available appointments, But generally we encourage you to prebook your appointment.
Payment is accepted either via cash or bankcard. At the clinic we use Square to process payments. Cards accepted are those generally used for tap and go, such Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card (this includes most bank cards with a chip). There is an ATM for use within 2 minutes walk from the shop outside the Post Office Hotel.

*Please note: New patients are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes early so they can fill out the required patient intake forms.

Concessions are available for Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine sessions.
Additional Fee information
Combined acupuncture and herbal consultations are charged at the Acupuncture rate plus the costs of herbs.
Combined Acupuncture and cupping appointments are charged at the acupuncture rate.

Parking Access
On street parking is available directly in front of shop except for Clearway times between 4-6pm, otherwise on the opposite side of the road parking is available. The parking inspectors are very vigilant in this area so ensure you have allocated sufficient time to parking
Private Health Funds
Private health fund rebates are now available to clients who receive acupuncture treatments and have extras cover with their fund. Our clinic is recognised as a provider for over 50 funds.
Your receipt will contain some provider numbers. Remember to retain your receipts and to follow the relevant process to be reimbursed by your fund. Check with your private health insurance provider to ensure Acupuncture treatments are covered in your policy.

TAC and Workcover
To ensure you will receive some reimbursement for the treatment costs of an Acupuncture session please ensure you treating doctor has requested Acupuncture treatment to be approved by the insurer. Also ensure you have received confirmation from your Insurer (TAC/WorkCover) that they have approved this treatment. All TAC/WorkCover clients will be charged the Gap (the difference between the cost of service and the rebate), the remainder will be billed to the insurer.
Cancellation and Late Policy
Coburg Chinese Medicine requires 24 hours for appointment cancellations. If less than the required notice is given, Coburg Chinese Medicine reserves the right to recover the full costs of the session.
If you are likely to be late to your appointment, please contact Coburg Chinese Medicine to advise when you will be attending the appointment. Arriving more than 15 minutes late could result in your appointment being cancelled, or a shorter treatment time.
